Crush

It’s nothing. It really is. But, I just love to set myself up for disappointment, so it’s something now. Even though it’s not. ‘Cause his eyes don’t lie, his blush doesn’t lie, his smile doesn’t lie. And because my eyes don’t lie, my laugh doesn’t lie, my smile doesn’t lie.

His whispers might lie, but the chill up my spine isn’t a lie.

My whispers mean nothing, but his raised eyebrows mean something.

Sly looks, averted gazes, slight smiles, chance touches, playful chatter, sleepless nights.

It’s all part of the game….

“Okay, okay! I like him. Gosh. What’s the big deal anyway?”
“The big deal? The big deal is that he’s Austin Anderson.”
“Yeah…I got his name when we were introduced. If that’s all you have to tell me about him, then I guess we’re done here…”
“No, no, no, no. You don’t get it. Austin Anderson is…. crazy.”
“What?” Tiara looked at him sitting on the park bench. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, he isn’t like you or me. His reality is … different than most.”
Austin looked up at the tree he was sitting under. His hand shot up and he slowly stood up on the bench.  His still raised hand reached up to the lowest hanging leaf and plucked it. He sat back down again, smiling mischievously.
“See what I mean?” Alissa asked.
“Um, no. He seems pretty normal to me.”
Now it was Alissa’s turn to look shocked. Tiara couldn’t help but smile, as she continued to explain.
“It’s obvious he just found a ladybug on that leaf. Everyone knows ladybugs have the power to grant wishes. Look. He’s floating away now. Can’t you see that he wished for the key to the gates? He’ll be gone before we know it. Man….I wish I could go with him, too…”

I’m a pretty big fan of formal introductions

So, here’s mine:

Hello. :]

I hope you read my description as it may answer some of the questions you may have about me or the world in general.

However, I have come prepared for the inevitable: you have questions that my description does not answer, such as

  1. Do you eat spaghetti with a spoon or a fork?
  2. Is peanut butter and chocolate a heavenly combination, in your opinion?
  3. How important does a person have to be in order to be considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
  4. Aliens? Fact or fiction??

That last one’s a biggie. 0_0

Anyway, here is a piece of advice for those of you whose questions I have not answered: Please reconsider your questions.

That’s it. :]
